Rimpi Nakhwal, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Rimpi Nakhwal was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. She attended Western University, Canada in London, Ontario where she received her Honors Double Major in Medical Science and Biology undergraduate degree followed by her Masters in Management on Applied Sciences. Dr. Nakhwal then went on to obtain her Optometry Degree from Midwestern University College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona. While there, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society and received the Excellence Award in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy.
Dr. Nakhwal completed her residency in Visual Rehabilitation and Brain Injury at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. She had a particular interest in interest in post-stroke/trauma, ocular disease, and adult primary care management. She gained experience evaluating ocular health at in-patient rehabilitation hospitals.
Dr. Nakhwal serves Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center patients throughout Metro Phoenix. She is fluent in Punjabi and Hindi. As an Optometrist, Dr. Nakhwal’s interests include treating double vision, dry eyes, glaucoma, and patients with diabetes or acquired or traumatic brain injury.
In Dr. Nakhwal’s free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, singing, cooking, and exploring fun restaurants and hikes.
