Dr. Matthew Bills, OD, FAAO, Dipl ABO grew up in Southern California and Utah. Dr. Bills obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University – Idaho. Eager to expand his horizons in the field of optometry, he pursued his Doctor of Optometry degree at the prestigious Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, where he graduated summa cum laude and ranked among the top 10% of his class.
Throughout his academic pursuit, Dr. Bills garnered numerous accolades, including awards for clinical excellence and recognition for his outstanding contributions to optometric research. With a passion for the field of optometry, he became the founder and inaugural president of the Ocular Disease Club at the Southern College of Optometry.
Dr. Bills is board-certified by the American Board of Optometry. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. He is also a passionate researcher and has presented his research findings and insightful presentations at both state and national levels.
Dr. Bills further honed his expertise during a residency with the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma, with a specialized focus on ocular disease and primary care. Dr. Bills is also well-versed in fitting specialty contact lenses, ensuring that patients with unique vision needs receive optimal solutions for their eye health.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Bills cherishes quality time with his wife and daughter. He is an avid reader and also enjoys playing board games.
