Dr. Matthew Palmer provides comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease, pre- and post-surgical care, prosthetic eye fitting, and low vision rehabilitation.
Dr. Matthew Palmer was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Arizona State University and his Doctor of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry, where he received honors for clinical excellence in low vision rehabilitation and management of ocular diseases. Dr. Palmer completed externships at the Center for the Partially Sighted in Los Angeles, CA, Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital in Sacaton, AZ, and Southwestern Eye Center in Casa Grande.
Dr. Palmer is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association. In addition, Dr. Palmer provides eye care services for some of the top major league baseball teams.
Dr. Palmer and his wife Lindsay have five children: Brooklyn, Blake, Gavin, Preston, and Hayden. He spends his free time with his family and also enjoys camping, hiking, reading, photography, and working with the Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Palmer is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
