Joseph Kowalski, OD
Optometrist
Dr. Joseph Kowalski received his college bachelors degree in Mathematics from Carroll College in Helena, Montana. While in college, he was active in pursuing a career as an optometrist by volunteering his services at local private practices in his hometown of Salinas, California. After college, Dr. Kowalski attended Inter-American University School of Optometry in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. There he was exposed to an abundance of different anterior and posterior ocular pathologies. He traveled to Dominican Republic working in underprivileged areas, performing ocular examinations on individuals as well as treating different ocular diseases including corneal ulcers, large cataracts, high refractive errors, and ocular prosthetic infections. His externship years were spent in South Florida and Texas before settling in Tucson, Arizona in 2018
Among his accomplishments, Dr. Kowalski is a member of both the Arizona Optometric Association and Southern Arizona Optometric Society. He has received certification of advanced ocular therapeutic injections and Humanitarian and Service to Community awards. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family as well as cooking, fishing, hiking, gardening, and watching both college and professional football.
