Education and Medical Training
Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Dr. Duong moved to the United States in 1975 at the age of 6. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from UCLA in 1993 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1998.
She trained as an intern with Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in 1997 and completed her residency at the Tucson VA Medical Center in Primary Care/Low Vision Rehabilitative Optometry from 1998–1999.

Dr. Duong is a member of the American Optometric Association, Arizona Optometric Association, and Southern Arizona Optometric Association, where she has served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer.
