Dr. Carlos Diaz is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced expertise in cataract surgery, offering modern intraocular lenses (IOLs) that correct presbyopia and astigmatism. He also performs LASIK and PRK for refractive vision correction. Dr. Diaz is skilled in state-of-the-art pterygium surgery, focusing on superior cosmetic outcomes and reduced recurrence rates. In the field of glaucoma management, he has extensive experience with procedures including SLT laser treatment, Ex-Press Mini Shunt, Canaloplasty, iStent, and Goniotomy.

Dr. Diaz earned his Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. His postgraduate training included an internship at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He also completed a two-year fellowship in ocular pathology and research at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
