Dr. Andrew Rabinowitz is dedicated to ensuring that the doctors at American Vision Partners maintain the most rigorous standards of training and provide the highest quality of care. Having practiced medicine for over 25 years, Dr. Rabinowitz is committed to ensuring the patient is our priority across the entire practice. He is currently part of American Vision Partners’ Medical Leadership team, acting as Senior Advisor Emeritus.

Dr. Rabinowitz joined Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in 2000. He specializes in the medical, laser and surgical management of glaucoma. Dr. Rabinowitz has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and is a nationally recognized expert in glaucoma. He has lectured on all aspects of glaucoma diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Rabinowitz has been recognized with numerous awards over his career, including “Top Doc” by Phoenix Magazine in 2017 and 2019, “Patients’ Choice” by Vitals.com in 2014 and 2019, and “America’s Most Honored Professionals” by The American Registry in 2019.

Dr. Rabinowitz earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Hahnemann University Medical School. He completed a residency in ophthalmology and was Chief Resident at The George Washington University Hospital in Washington D.C. Dr. Rabinowitz completed Fellowship Training in glaucoma at the world-renowned Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
