Alex Bockhorst, O.D.

Clinical Expertise

Dr. Alex Bockhorst is originally from Lake Forest, California. His passion for eye health began at a young age after he had worn glasses and contacts since third grade and saw firsthand the impact of vision conditions within his family, including a history of glaucoma and macular degeneration. This personal connection to eye care inspired him to help others protect and preserve their vision. With a patient-first approach, Dr. Bockhorst treats every individual with respect and the highest level of care, as if they were family.

Education and Medical Training

Dr. Bockhorst graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2015. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry, where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society and graduated in the top ten of his class in 2022.

Accolades

As a Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society member, he graduated in 2022 in the top ten of his class. Dr. Bockhorst is also an active member of the Arizona Optometric Association (AZOA) and the American Optometric Association (AOA).

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Dr. Bockhorst enjoys golfing, outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife and dog.
