Dr. Tyson Tanner provides comprehensive optometric care, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of ocular disease. He is committed to delivering high-quality, personalized eye care to patients of all ages.

Accolades

Dr. Tanner is licensed by the Arizona State Board of Optometry and is an active member of the Central Arizona Optometric Society. During his optometry training, he traveled with the Hope Alliance to Iquitos, Peru, where he helped provide eye care to underserved communities. He is also fluent in Spanish, allowing him to better serve a diverse patient population.

Education

Originally from Cortez, Colorado, Dr. Tanner earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.
During his education, Dr. Tanner completed externships at West Tennessee Eye, The Eye Center, and Southern Eye Associates in Memphis, where he gained hands-on experience in the treatment of ocular disease and surgical co-management.

Personal

Dr. Tanner and his wife, Jill, live in Mesa, Arizona, with their four children. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and is an avid sports enthusiast. He also actively participates in his community through involvement with the Boy Scouts organization.
