More than 35 years ago, Dr. Barnet helped establish what would become Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center with a clear and enduring goal: to expand access to high-quality, patient-focused eye care across Arizona. He founded the practice alongside fellow ophthalmologists Dr. David Dulaney, who passed away in 2013, and Dr. Scott Perkins, who retired from clinical practice in 2025. Together, their leadership and shared commitment to innovation and patient care laid the foundation for the organization.
From its early beginnings, the practice has grown into one of Arizona’s most recognized eye care networks, now serving patients through 24 locations statewide and supported by a team of more than 450 physicians, providers, and staff.
“Dr. Barnet set a standard for how medicine should be practiced, with skill, integrity, and genuine care for patients,” the organization shared in a statement. “We are deeply grateful for his leadership, his dedication to healing and philanthropy, his military service, and his contributions to advancing eye health. Our thoughts are with his family and all those whose lives he touched.”
