Ready to book a LASIK, ICL or Refractive Lens Exchange Consultation?
When it comes to vision correction, you have options! During your consultation, our doctors and staff will explain which solution may provide you with the best results.
LASIK eye surgery (Laser-Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis) is currently one of the most frequently performed elective procedures in North America. It involves the use of an excimer laser to reshape the cornea to correct a patient’s vision error. The results can eliminate or reduce your need for glasses and contact lenses. All with just a 10 – 15 minute procedure.
Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) is a removable lens implant that is an alternative to LASIK. This solution may be an ideal option for patients who are not candidates for LASIK due to a thin cornea, a history of chronic dry eye, or an extremely high level of nearsightedness. Furthermore, the ICL is removeable and replaceable providing you with options should your vision change.
Clear Lens Exchange eye surgery may be a better options for people with presbyopia and high hyperopia (farsightedness). During this procedure, your eye’s natural lens is gently removed through a microscopic incision. It is replaced with an artificial lens, called an intra-ocular lens (IOL) which is specifically designed to enable clear vision at all distances, usually with minimal or no need for glasses or contacts.
