Dr. Mark Kornaus is an esteemed optometrist with over 41 years of diverse experience in the field of optometry. He graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1984 and has since built an exemplary career, earning a reputation for his commitment to patient care, clinical excellence, and leadership.
Dr. Kornaus is a proud member of Dean Health Systems, where he has been part of a group practice focused on delivering comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, reflecting his high level of expertise and commitment to professional standards.
In recognition of his contributions to the field of optometry, Dr. Kornaus was named Wisconsin’s Optometrist of the Year in 2024—a prestigious award acknowledging his outstanding service and leadership within the community.
Dr. Kornaus has held key roles in education and clinical practice. From 2012 to 2022, he served as Lead Optometrist at the Davis Duehr Dean clinics, where he was instrumental in shaping the quality of patient care and mentoring other optometrists. He also contributes to the development of future optometrists as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Illinois College of Optometry.
