Retina and Vitreous Surgery
Diem K. Bui, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Cornell University. She worked as a software engineer in Silicon Valley for several years prior to attending medical school at University of California at Los Angeles. Afterwards, she obtained advanced training by completing an ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a two-year vitreoretinal diseases and surgery fellowship at the Emory Eye Center in Atlanta.
Dr. Bui is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has authored several scientific publications in the field of ophthalmology. She speaks Vietnamese fluently and is an accomplished pianist. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, baking and sampling different cuisines.
