Dr. Colleen Tejchma was born and raised in Muskegon, MI, and attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI where she dual majored in biology and mathematics. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from Midwestern University- Arizona College of Optometry and is a member of the Gold Key honor society.
During optometry school, Dr. Tejchma was involved with multiple outreach programs that provided free vision screenings within Arizona, along with international trips to Mexico through the Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH).
Dr. Tejchma completed her family practice/ocular disease residency at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK. She expanded her experience with managing challenging ocular disease cases with patients of all ages and working with children in pediatric clinics. In addition to ocular disease, she enjoys binocular vision workups, prism prescribing, contact lens fits, and vision therapy. Dr. Tejchma is excited to provide excellent eye care for the entire family!
In Dr. Tejchma’s free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She comes from a very large extended family, with over 30 first cousins. She enjoys playing volleyball and softball, watching movies, and playing board games. Her all-time favorite sport to watch is hockey.
