Brow Lifts

As we grow older, skin and deep tissue in the forehead loses elasticity causing the brow line to sag and move closer to our lashes. We also begin to develop lines and creases between our eyebrows and on our forehead. Brow lift surgery, also known as a forehead lift, can help correct these signs of aging.

A brow lift is an outpatient cosmetic procedure that lifts the brow line and creates a more youthful, energetic appearance. The procedure is often performed in conjunction with eyelid surgery and skin resurfacing to achieve a harmonious, rejuvenated result.

Eyelid Surgery

Due to thin, delicate skin, our eyes and eyelids often show signs of aging before other parts of our face. As we grow older, the skin around our eyes begins to wrinkle, crease, and droop, which can lead to a tired, worn-out appearance.

Upper eyelid surgery (or upper eyelid blepharoplasty) is a procedure that removes redundant, saggy skin from the upper eyelids to create a more youthful, rested appearance. In some cases, fat is also sculpted to help improve the appearance of fullness in the upper eyelids. Upper eyelid blepharoplasty can also be performed in conjunction with brow lift surgery to achieve a harmonious, rejuvenated appearance of the forehead, brows and upper eyelids.

Lower eyelid surgery (or lower eyelid blepharoplasty) is a procedure that helps to improve the appearance of “bags” and dark circles in the lower eyelids. This improvement is achieved by a combination of different techniques that involve the removing and repositioning of fat. Skin in the lower eyelid can also be resurfaced with a laser at the time of lower eyelid blepharoplasty to help improve the appearance of fine lines wrinkles. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty can also be performed with upper eyelid blepharoplasty to help rejuvenate the appearance of the entire aesthetic unit around the eyes.

With cosmetic eyelid surgery, you can reduce signs of aging and fatigue around the eyes for a more youthful, refreshed appearance. In addition to offering advanced procedures to improve your vision, Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and throughout the valley offers a number of cosmetic facial enhancement treatments from an experienced oculoplastic surgeon.

Botox and Dermal Fillers

As we age, our face loses volume, which can lead to a deflated, sunken appearance. Volume loss also intensifies the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles. Lost volume can be replaced with several different materials, including hyaluronic acid gel filler, other synthetic fillers, and fat. Dermal fillers can also be used to enhance the chin area.

Over the past decade, many new and different types of fillers have been developed. Most fillers are from hyaluronic acid gel, a material that is naturally produced by your body. Fillers can also be made from calcium hydroxyapatite, a material found in bone, or other synthetic materials. We only utilize fillers that are biocompatible.

Over time, repeated contracture of facial muscles can lead to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The areas most commonly affected include the forehead, glabella (i.e. the area between the eyebrows), and crow’s feet, along with the outer corner of the eyelids. Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport belong to the class of medications known as “neuromodulators.” Neuromodulators function by relaxing muscles in the face, which can decrease the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
