Dr. Michael Lamb received his Bachelor of Science degree in biological science from University of Illinois at Chicago. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree and Bachelor of Science in visual science from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. He relocated to the Phoenix area in 1984 and has been a staff doctor with Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center since 1988. Dr. Lamb currently oversees the medical eye clinic in our Mesa office and is also on the clinical staff of the Carl T. Hayden Veteran’s Administration Hospital Eye Clinic in downtown Phoenix

Dr. Lamb is an active member of the American Optometric Association. He is also a current member and past president of the Arizona Optometric Association and the Central Arizona Optometric Society. Previous academic appointments include; Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, the Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, the University of Houston College of Optometry in Texas, and the University of Waterloo College of Optometry in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Most recently, Dr. Lamb was appointed by the Governor of the state of Arizona to serve in a regulatory capacity on the Arizona State Board of Optometry in 2011. Dr. Lamb was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.
