Dr. David McGarey is a graduate of Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his family practice residency training at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA in 1997.
After completing his residency training in 1997, he opened his private practice in Flagstaff, Arizona in 1997. Dr. McGarey partnered with Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in the summer of 2007. As a recognized ophthalmologist in Arizona, Dr. McGarey specializes in Diabetes, Glaucoma and has performed over 20,000 Cataract procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and a fellow of the American Medical Association, The American Academy of Ophthalmologists.
